The moment I saw this image, I wanted to trace it. It's a gorgeous Chrno Crusade image with both Chrno and Rosette in a nice, dynamic pose. Even though the original image was from the Animage calendar and would have required little cleanup work, I still traced it, because that's just how I like to operate now. There were a lot of blurred bullets and gunsmoke around the image which I eliminated in my trace. (Lately I've been tracing lots of guns... and tracing bullets is a pain as I learned from the Gits:SAC wall) The colors are rich too - Chrno's red contracts well with Rosette's blue. If he didn't have such a namby pampy YELLOW (it's YELLOW for diety's sake!) ribbon in his hair he'd be cooler. Anyways, the background silhouette was also traced from the original scan, and I tried to duplicate the original background closely. I like the sunset patterns, which match well with the clothing colors of red and blue and give it a nice dark and somber look. Typical moon, although I didn't copy it from the Wolf's Rain walls but made a new one =P I'm most satisfied with the clouds, made with a custom brush based on a cloud from the original scan. They look very cloud-like. The horizontal lines are reminiscent of the previous CC wall and their darkness emphasizes the brightness of the moon, and I used the same font. Silly name, I guess, but they're working at a convent, and it's night time. I guess.
