Second in my Art Deco Travelogue series. To recap, I absolutely love Art Deco travel posters, so I wanted to create a series of wallpapers of travel posters for the Anime world. This one features the Fast - Friendly - Fuzzy service of the Cat Bus from My Neighbor Totoro.
I visited the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka last month. One of their exhibits is a Cat Bus where large enough for children to play in, and stuffed to the gills with little soot-balls. It was very awesome, and I wanted to make a wall of the Cat Bus. Based off of a scan, but redrawn in Art Deco style, so more curves and gradients and less details. Simple background to complement, and a frame. The framing is different in the widescreen vs fullscreen walls because that's just how the image worked.
Wouldn't you want to ride the Cat Bus to work?
