Another throwaway wallpaper. I was browsing random series scans at Minitokyo for absolutely no reason at all, and found a pair of scans by Ace in the Big O section. A little stitching together, some dark noise and brushwork, and a title later, we have this wallpaper. I just really liked the city background with its tall skyscrapers, the dome, and whatnot. I was aiming for a dirty film-print, film-noir feel for the image. I also angled the image and gave it a film-strip feel to go with the theme. It's purple because, uh, that's the color of Big O itself... Hm, that's right, the original background had a bit of a purplish tint to it so I kept it. The title comes from a track on the Big O drama CD, "Brick Ballades" which is the saxophone, jazzier version of "Apologize" from the first soundtrack. I had fun relistening to my Big O mp3s (minus the drama tracks) and remembering how lovely and soulful the piano pieces were.
